Chief Imam Engr. Sulaymon Oluwatoyin Abou Nolla

Chief Imam Engr. Sulaimon Oluwatoyin Abu-Nolla holds two Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Arts and two Master’s degree in Public Administration and Islamic Law. Currently, he serves as the Chief Imam of Lagos Central Mosque. Beyond his administrative duties, he teaches Islamic Studies and also engages in public speaking and counselling. He is dedicated to fostering unity, compassion, and resilience among his congregation and the broader society.

Fadilat Sheikh Alliy Seifudeen A. A. Olowooribi

Grand Chief Imam Olowooribi graduated from Zumuratul Mu’min Arabic School, Ibadan, in 1975, after which he served as a graduate instructor until 1977. He became a leading tafsir lecturer among the Ijomu Muslim Community before being appointed the Muffasir of the Ikorodu Central Mosque in 1989. He is currently the Grand Chief Imam of Ikorodu Central Mosque and Ikorodu Division, a position he has held since 2006.

Imam Abdul Hakeem Ishola Akewusola

Imam Akewushola earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arabic Education from the Anishams University in Cairo, Egypt. He worked at Ansar-ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Okota before establishing a private Arabic school. In February 2009, he was turbaned the Chief Imam of Badagry Division, a position he holds till date.

Chief Imam Abdul-Rahman Abdulazeez KEWULERE Sogunro

Imam Kewulere established Markaz Taaleemul Arabiyyah Sogunro in 1984 after finishing from Markaz Taaleemul Arabiyah, Iwo, Osun State. He was elevated to the rank of Chairman of the Ikeja Division of the Council of Chief Imams by the late Chief lmam Tijani Balogun. Currently, he serves as the Treasurer of the Council of Chief lmams and Ulama, Lagos.

Hon Justice Habeeb Adewale Olumuyiwa Abiru

Honorable Justice Habeeb Adewale Olumuyiwa Abiru earned his LL.B and LL.M degrees from the University of Ife. In 2001, he was appointed a Judge of the High Court of Lagos State, serving until 2012, and was then elevated to the Court of Appeal. In February 2024, he was appointed to the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

Dr. Muiz Adeyemi Banire

Dr. Muiz Adeyemi Banire holds an LL.B degree from the University of Lagos and a Master’s degree (LLM) from the same institution. He rose through the ranks to become a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Private and Property Law at the University of Lagos. In 2015, he was conferred with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria and received the National Award of the Officer of the Order of Niger (OON) in 2022. He has served Lagos State in varying capacities at different times.

Alhaja Muhinat Shopeyin

Alhaja Muhinat is an entrepreneur specialising in the clothing trade, a skill she learnt from her mother in 1973. Beyond her business acumen, she is known for her dedication to family and community. She is married to Alhaji Tajudeen Shopeyin and is a grandmother with three children.

Kafilat Araoye

Kafilat Araoye holds a first degree in History from Obafemi Awolowo University and an M.Sc. in Industrial Relations & Personnel Management from the University of Lagos, graduating as the best student in her class. She became the pioneer head of Human Resources at Guaranty Trust Bank Plc in 1990 and left in 2015 as General Manager with accolades. She is currently the MD/CEO Lotus Bank.

Associate Professor Nosiru Olajide Onibon​

Associate Professor Nosiru Olajide Onibon holds a Diploma in Arabic and Islamic Studies, a B.A. (Hons) in Arabic Language & Literature, an M.A. in Arabic Study, a PGDE, an M.Sc. in International Relations, and a PhD in Arabic Linguistic Studies. Recently, he joined the Fellowship of the African School of Diplomacy and International Relations (FASDIR). He has also been admitted into the Ambassadorial Team of the African Union Agenda 2063.

Professor Muritala Aderemi Bidmos

Alhaji Muritala Aderemi Bidmos is a retired Professor of Islamic Education and former Dean of the Faculty of Education at the University of Lagos. He was a Fulbright Scholar to Findlay University and Ohio State University, USA. During his tenure at the University of Lagos, he served as the Chief Imam of the University’s Muslim Community.
